Profiles

Centre for Innovative Construction Technology (CICT) is currently involved in the fundamentals of applied research and consultancy works of sustainable, resilient, and green technology. It also provides a platform for young & aspiring students to apply their fundamental knowledge learned in class to practice. As stated in the vision of the centre, the researchers are also involved in research on sustainable materials using locally available waste materials.

Impact Projects

Pavement block, drainage ponds, lightweight panels

Brick-block for wall construction

Blast / high-impact resistant structure

                                                                                        • Bomb shelters, temporary shielding from explosives

                                                                                        Benefits

                                                                                        • Eco-friendly and use of local industrial wastes and by-products-would bring income  and job opportunity

                                                                                        • Zero-cement: less CO2 emission

                                                                                        • Use of industrial waste: Reduce the burden on natural resources and environmental pollution

                                                                                        • Improves ductility of blast resistant concrete

                                                                                        • Approx. 15-20% savings in weight and cost
